And Now… A Minute for Self Care

It happens this time every year: event season. When every activity that family members, friends, friends of friends, etc. have been working toward culminates in an event that you’re either hosting, contributing to, attending, or supporting in some way. Graduations, award ceremonies, sports playoffs and banquets, dance and music recitals, confirmations and first Communions, not to mention Mother’s Day and Father’s Day thrown into the mix. And just at the same time as all these personal events are occurring, event season at your organization is ramping up for the summer season, on top of all other existing responsibilities. It’s enough to say “Calgon, take me away!”

Reset and Refocus with Self Care Strategies

Thankfully, we have a better solution than bubble baths to ease your worries and reenergize you to conquer yet another event. We all know how important it is to make time for yourself, yet many have a hard time doing so. Rachel Barbanel-Fried, Psy.D., is a Clinical Psychologist and featured panelist of a Community Conversations webinar Canopy hosted on the topic of caring for your teams and yourself in the post-pandemic environment.

Dr. Barbanel-Fried shares her self care recommendations in five short video clips. We encourage you to set aside just seven minutes total to view these video clips (each is one to two minutes in length) to reset and refocus.

For additional written ideas and advice gained from our webinar audience, view bulleted takeaways about self care and leading your team in a caring way.

Now that you know these strategies, go forth and enjoy the celebrations!

Even though using “lorem ipsum” often arouses curiosity due to its resemblance to classical Latin, it is not intended to have meaning. Where text is visible in a document, people tend to focus on the textual content rather than upon overall presentation.
